Tip 49: Practice Progressions in Different Keys Using Roman Numerals

Write out a chord progression in Roman numeral notation (e.g. I, IV, V) and then play this progression in a number of different keys.

Keep the progression simple at first and then add more complexity, just for the sake of stretching yourself.

Also, listen to the similiarites and differences when you play the same chord progression in a different key.
